A new Chinese poultry palace for the fancy fowl on a country estate. The design is based upon William Porden's aborted plan for the Brighton Pavilion (1806), although adapted so as best to accommodate chickens. The fish-scale metal fence that encompasses the palace was made in Germany, and is based upon Schinkel's designs of the early c19th.
