Templeton Estate, Roehampton, London

Templeton is an anomaly: at just over two acres, and possessed of an enormous house and extensive gardens, it is among the least well-known and most handsome of London’s eighteenth-century estates. It is in fact remarkable that Templeton has escaped demolition, subdivision and oblivion to become a great rarity: a country estate within the M25.

We have worked closely with the present owners on all aspects of the refurbishment of estate - from creating new courts, shrubberies and flower gardens, to forming a new reflecting pool. We are currently in the throes of laying out a new Paradise Garden - a lavish and enclosed Hispano-Moresque pleasance inspired by Islamic gardens of the past.
